ART MEETS PUBLIC AT GALERIA JURAJSKA. DISCOVER KRYTERIUM 3!
Galeria Jurajska is set to gain a new space dedicated to contemporary art. The official opening of KRYTERIUM 3, a unique project developed in collaboration with the Faculty of Art at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, will take place on 31 October at 5.00 pm.
The new space will provide an opportunity to discover art and the work of artists associated with the university in Czestochowa. Its programme will open with an exhibition entitled SENS - Art, Education, Science, Meaning, showcasing works by artists affiliated with JDU's Faculty of Art. Previously presented at the Municipal Art Gallery in Czestochowa, the exhibition explores the interrelationships between art, science, education and culture.
The idea behind KRYTERIUM 3 is to make art accessible in a place visited by thousands of people every day. This will make engagement with artistic creativity easier and allow it to become a natural part of the everyday experiences of local residents.
The opening of the new space will be accompanied by a special artistic programme. Between 5.00 and 6.30 pm, performances by students of JDU's Music in Public Spaces degree programme and a panel discussion entitled Art in Public Spaces are scheduled. The discussion will focus, among other things, on the presence of art in the city and its impact on the local cultural landscape.
During the next part of the event, participants will be introduced to the aims of the KRYTERIUM 3 project, as well as the architectural and curatorial concepts behind the new space. The event will conclude with a musical performance by JDU students and an opportunity to view the exhibition.
We look forward to seeing you at Galeria Jurajska on 31 October at 5.00 pm! Discover a new meeting place for art and see how it can become part of our everyday lives.
