STUDENT SPRING FESTIVAL FEVER …

The Czestochowa Student Spring Festival Juwenalia 2026 has officially begun. We especially encourage everyone to take part in the traditional Juwenalia parade scheduled for May 21 (Thursday). All information regarding the student festival can be found on the website.

The Juwenalia parade is a traditional and colourful march of students through the city streets, forming one of the key highlights of the annual celebrations. Participants, dressed in vibrant and often humorous costumes, walk through the city centre, usually heading toward the city hall, where they symbolically receive the keys to the city gates and officially begin several days of festivities.

This tradition dates back to 15th-century Krakow, where the students of the former Krakow Academy first organised a street parade to brighten everyday academic life. Today, the parade provides an opportunity for students from different university faculties to integrate and showcase their creativity and academic spirit.
