UNIVERSITY MAY EVENING AT PHILHARMONIC
The Department of Music invites to the final University Evening of this season at the Czestochowa Philharmonic on May 27, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
The evening will begin with a lecture by prof. Joanna Ławnikowska-Koper (Institute of Literary Studies, JDU) entitled:
“Exophonic literature and the experience of migration: selected remarks based on contemporary German-language literature.”
The lecture will be followed by a concert performed by the accordion duo Amalgalis Duo, featuring Ewa Grabowska-Lis (Department of Music, JDU) and Daniel Lis (Academy of Music in Katowice). The artists will perform works by Wacław of Szamotuły, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Mikołaj Majkusiak, Bogdan Dowlasz, Marcin Jabłoński, and Wojciech Kilar.
The evening will conclude with the opening of the exhibition entitled “MetaMythologies” by Artur Wawrzkiewicz (Department of Painting, JDU), which will also provide an opportunity for the audience to meet the artists.
