“HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL EFFECTS OF PLASTIC APPLICATIONS” INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC SYMPOSIUM (COLAB)

We are pleased to announce the 4. International Scientific Symposium (COLAB), which this year is devoted to the topic “Health and environmental effects of plastic applications.”

The event will take place at Asten Group S.A. in Czestochowa, at 77/81 Bór St., on May 25-27, 2026 (Monday-Wednesday).

The Symposium is organised on a regular basis as part of the implementation of tasks specified in the “European Universities” project schedule, bringing together within the COLOURS alliance nine partner universities: Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa (Poland), Josip Juraj Strossmayer University of Osijek (Croatia), Le Mans University (France), Kristianstad University (Sweden), Paderborn University (Germany) - the Alliance leader, the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Spain), the University of Ferrara (Italy), St. Kliment Ohridski University - Bitola (North Macedonia), and Ventspils University of Applied Sciences (Latvia).

We hope that the issues discussed during the plenary sessions, expert panel, and workshops will provide a platform for interdisciplinary reflection on current challenges related to the proper management of plastics, especially after their use. At the same time, the Symposium will enable the exchange of experiences, the presentation of best practices, and dialogue with key institutions contributing to improvements in public health and environmental quality in this field, both in Poland and across Europe. The event is addressed to a broad audience, as the entire initiative aims to increase awareness of current problems and challenges related to the proper management of plastics, thereby reducing the harmful impact of microplastics on health and the environment.

The detailed COLAB programme is available via the following link – programme.

The Symposium will be held in a hybrid format; therefore, it will also be possible to participate online (the link is included in the attached programme).
