UNIVERSITY DAY – 55TH ANNIVERSARY JUBILEE, AWARDS & SHARED CELEBRATION

We cordially invite the academic community and friends of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa to join the University Day celebrations, which will take place on 1 June at 12:00 pm at Auditorium Maximum.

This year’s ceremony will have a special jubilee character as we celebrate the 55th anniversary of the University’s founding.

The event will provide an opportunity to celebrate together, reflect on the University’s achievements, and highlight its importance within both the academic community and society. An important part of the celebration will be dedicated to distinctions and awards, during which individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development and activities of the University will be honoured.

The program will include official speeches, a jubilee and an awards ceremony.

PROGRAM OF THE CEREMONY:
1 Procession of the ceremonial parade
2 Polish national anthem
3 Welcome address
4 Speech by prof. Bogusław Przywora, Acting Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa
5 Jubilee feature
6 Presentation of distinctions and awards
7 Gaudeamus igitur

The ceremony will be enhanced by a performance by the Academic Choir of JDU under the direction of dr Marek Kudra.

As part of the jubilee celebrations, on 2 June at 9:00 pm, all interested participants are invited to take part in the Apel Jasnogórski, which will be offered for the intention of the Conference of Rectors of Polish Universities, meeting at our University from 1-3 June, as well as for the academic community of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa.

Please be informed that during the University Day ceremony on 1 June 2026, the event will be live-streamed, and photographs and video recordings will be made for publication in various forms, including on the University’s website, social media channels, and informational materials. This means that the image of participants attending the event may be recorded and published.
Participation in the meetings and ceremonies constitutes the participant’s consent to the processing and publication of their image for the purposes described above.
