67. EDITION OF KNOWLEDGE COMPETITION ON POLAND AND CONTEMPORARY WORLD

On January 31, the regional stage of the 67th edition of the Knowledge Competition on Poland and the Contemporary World was held at Jan Dlugosz University at 2/4 Zbierskiego Street. This year’s regional stage gathered nearly 100 students representing over 40 schools from across the Silesian Voivodeship, who arrived with their parents, teachers, and guardians to compete for the title of the best participants in the region. The students qualified through the school stage of the Competition, which took place in November last year and involved over 300 participants.

The honorary patron of the regional stage was the Acting Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, prof. Bogusław Przywora, Vice-Rector for Research. The official opening ceremony was conducted by the Vice-Rector for Education and Student Affairs prof. Jakub Jakubowski. In the first stage of the regional competition, students took a test, which selected the top 23 participants who advanced to the oral stage. Based on the total results, the Regional Committee established a ranking, according to which the 11 best students will take part in the national finals in March.

However, all students participating in the regional stage are winners, and we warmly congratulate you and hope to meet you again in the next edition!

This year’s variable theme of the Competiton is “Public Service.” Therefore, in addition to the competition, students attended a lecture prepared especially for this occasion by the Municipal Police Headquarters in Czestochowa, represented by Staff Sergeant Marlena Leszczyniak and Junior Staff Sergeant Mariusz Klekot, as well as the Border Guard Post in Czestochowa, represented by the Commander of the Border Guard Post in Czestochowa, Lieutenant Colonel Przemysław Starczewski. During the meeting, students had the opportunity to learn about the current challenges faced by uniformed services. We would like to express our sincere thanks to our guests for accepting the invitation and for their engagement in this event.
