DR KATERYNA PETRUSHKA CONCLUDES RESEARCH INTERNSHIP AT JDU IN CZESTOCHOWA

We are pleased to announce that on 15 December, the research internship of dr Kateryna Petrushka, carried out at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, came to an end. The internship was implemented under the KRASP and Elsevier Scholarship Programme aimed at strengthening the scientific potential of Ukrainian doctoral students and researchers.

Dr Kateryna Petrushka, representing Lviv Polytechnic National University, conducted research focused on environmental safety, environmental protection, and soil contamination in areas affected by military operations. Her work included, among others:
- identification of potentially toxic elements,
- analysis of physical and chemical processes occurring in - contaminated soils,
- assessment of ecological risk and the development of environmental monitoring methods.
The exchange of knowledge and international cooperation proved to be among the greatest values of the internship - both for the researcher and for our University.

We are glad that JDU could serve as a place for dr Kateryna Petrushka’s scientific development, and we hope for further cooperation and joint research projects in the future.
