TAKE ON CHALLENGE OF EXPERIMENTATION AT 9. SILESIAN SCIENCE FESTIVAL KATOWICE!

We invite all science enthusiasts to Katowice for another celebration of knowledge!

From 6 to 8 December, the International Congress Centre will host one of the largest popular-science events in Europe - the 9th Silesian Science Festival Katowice. The theme of this year's edition is: “Experiment!”

The Festival is completely free and open to everyone. We encourage you to register and download a free individual entry pass. Most activities are open-access, but some have limited capacity and require additional registration, which begins on 9 November.

Registration for organised groups includes participation in the Festival on Monday, 8 December – on this day, pupils, students, teachers and supervisors are particularly welcome. Groups are asked to book specific time slots to ensure smooth movement across the Festival space. The first entry is possible at 8:00, and the last at 14:00.

Special event – Evening in the City of Science

On the first day of the Festival (6 December) at 18:30, the Evening in the City of Science will take place – a special show opening the 9th SSF Katowice. The evening will feature the performance “EXPERYMENT”, thematically linked to this year’s motto.

 
What’s new?

All three days of the Festival will be filled with experiments, lectures, workshops, demonstrations and other science-popularising activities. This year's edition also introduces many new features, including unique stages and special zones. Participants will be able to explore the worlds of science fiction, film and literature, expand their knowledge in the health-prevention zone, take part in experiments in a research laboratory, and much more!
