“POLAND’S SECURITY IN THE 20TH AND 21ST CENTURIES. THE EVOLUTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL ORDER AND POLAND’S SECURITY”

On 18-19 November, the 8th Scientific Conference “Poland’s Security in the 20th and 21st Centuries. The Evolution of the International Order and Poland’s Security” was held, organised by the Department of Security Studies at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa. This year’s edition brought together representatives of more than 25 academic centres and other institutions involved in national security. The discussions covered issues in the following areas:
• Changes in the international order in the 20th and 21st centuries;
• The evolution of Poland’s geopolitical position;
• Traditional and emerging threats to Poland’s security;
• Poland’s security and defence policy;
• Great power rivalry and global security;
• Internal security in the context of international change.

The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the Acting Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Bogusław Przywora, and the Rector of the General Tadeusz Kościuszko Military University of Land Forces, Lieutenant General (ret.) Dr. Marek Tomaszycki, Professor of the Military University of Land Forces.
