26 NOVEMBER - PHILHARMONIC UNIVERSITY EVENING

The upcoming University Evening will take place on 26 November at 7:00 pm in the chamber hall of the Czestochowa Philharmonic.

The event will begin with a lecture by prof. Elżbieta Hurnik (Institute of Literary Studies, JDU) entitled “Colours and Shapes in the Poetry of Maria Pawlikowska-Jasnorzewska.” Following the lecture, artists and educators from the Department of Music at the University of Hradec Králové will perform:
Kristýna Soukupová - soprano
Petr Špaček - baritone
Lenka Hejnová - piano
Michal Chrobák - piano

Their performance will feature works by W.A. Mozart, H. Duparc, G. Mahler, R. Strauss, and B. Britten.

After the concert, an exhibition opening of paintings by Katarzyna Jarząb (Department of Painting, JDU) will take place in the Philharmonic foyer. It will also be an opportunity for the audience to meet and talk with the evening’s artists.
