EDU & SCIENCE MEETINGS 2025 IN VIETNAM

The representatives of the University, prof. Michał Piasecki (Institute of Physics) and Bartłomiej Kowalik, MA (Department for International Cooperation), took part in a series of events promoting the Polish educational and scientific offer in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The events were organised by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).

On October 30, an Alumni Meeting was held in Ho Chi Minh City for Vietnamese graduates of Polish universities, co-organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi. The event was attended by nearly 50 alumni and individuals interested in cooperation with Poland.

The following day, at RMIT University - one of the largest private universities in Vietnam - the Vietnam-Poland Higher Education Forum took place, bringing together representatives of as many as 35 higher education institutions from both Poland and Vietnam. The event agenda included a discussion panel titled “Strengthening and Developing Polish-Vietnamese Academic Partnerships,” networking sessions, and a mini student fair for prospective Vietnamese students. During the information session, Bartłomiej Kowalik presented the University and its educational offer to all participating institutions.

In addition to university representatives from both countries, the meetings were attended by, among others:
- Her Excellency Joanna Skoczek, Head of Mission, Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Hanoi
- Dr Wojciech Karczewski, Director General of NAWA
- Dr Łukasz Gołota, Deputy Director General of NAWA
- Members of the Polish Parliament – Mariusz Kałużny and Marek Rząsa (Polish–Vietnamese Parliamentary Group)

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) for the excellent organisation of the events in Ho Chi Minh City, the high substantive quality of the discussions, and the atmosphere conducive to strengthening relations between Poland and Vietnam.

From November 3–7, JDU representatives will continue their educational mission in Vietnam, taking part in mobility under the Erasmus+ programme at Van Lang University - one of the top universities in Vietnam.
