BP ANDRZEJ PRZYBYLSKI APPOINTED METROPOLITAN ARCHBISHOP OF KATOWICE

Pope has appointed Bishop Andrzej Przybylski, formerly auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Czestochowa, as Metropolitan Archbishop of Katowice. The decision of His Holiness Pope Leo XIV was announced today at noon by the Apostolic Nunciature in Poland, according to the Polish Bishops’ Conference.

The new Archbishop Andrzej Przybylski is a graduate of our University – the Higher School of Pedagogy in Częstochowa (now our University). He earned a master’s degree in pedagogy. Between 2006 and 2008, he worked at the Department of History and Theory of Education. He has always maintained a positive attitude toward the University and friendly relations with its staff, regularly participating in important academic ceremonies.
