INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN "SILESIA. LAB"
The Office for Development and Educational Projects informs that the "Pro Silesia" Association has announced recruitment for the ŚLĄSKIE.LAB competition, the aim of which is to support universities and their partners in the implementation of research or creative projects responding to the key challenges of the development of our region.
An application for funding may be submitted by a group of entities appointed for the purpose of implementing a given project. The group of entities consists of at least the leader and the university or two universities from among the universities from the Consortium and/or representatives of the Association's Member Universities. The group of entities is represented by the leader.
Key information:
"Pro Silesia" is a pilot call for proposals, bringing the Silesian scientific community closer to the implementation of activities that will be undertaken under the Scientific Programme for Silesia, which is a strategic initiative supporting the cooperation of Silesian universities in the field of conducting and financing scientific research and/or artistic creation. The aim of the competition is to select projects for funding in the thematic area "Strengthening the metropolitan functions of the region":
- many cities or one city – unchanged and with the formula of one city – economic, financial, competitive, image and regional impact, public perception;
- the role of sub-regional centres in regional development and their cooperation with the metropolis;
- the process of depopulation;
- young people in the metropolis, how to keep them;
- senior-friendly cities;
- housing, including Bauhaus living;
- universities and the potential of metropolises.

Expenditure eligibility period: 01.12.2025 – 31.12.2026
Financing:
Funds available under the first call: PLN 1,000,000
Minimum project value: PLN 35,000
Maximum project value: PLN 200,000
Own contribution not required.
