RENOVATION WORKS AROUND WASZYNGTONA BUILDING ARE UNDERWAY – SAFETY AND AESTHETICS

On April 7, Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa began construction works as part of the task: Renovation of paved surfaces and external stairs at the JDU building at 4/8 Waszyngtona St.
As a result of an open tender the contractor is Transwoj-bis Sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Czestochowa. The deadline for the completion of the works is scheduled for 16 weeks, i.e. until 28.07.2025.

The scope of the investment task includes the zone in front of the building (running along Waszyngtona Street) and the space of the exit leading to the garage. The existing surface will be replaced due to its poor technical condition. The renovation involves the dismantling of the existing paving slabs, asphalt surface and external stairs (at the main entrance to the building). The area will be properly profiled, leveled, and the elevations of the surface will be adjusted to the level of the existing paved surfaces. The renovation of the pavement and external stairs in front of the University will bring many benefits – both practical and image-related. A modernised surface can improve not only the aesthetics, but also the functionality of the space – thanks to better drainage, proper slope, adaptation for people with special needs and the use of abrasion-resistant materials or the addition of small architecture elements.

Such solutions will serve the entire community of the city of Czestochowa and improve the daily use of the building. For this purpose, the University will provide the amount of PLN 850,000.00 from its own funds.
