DOUBLE DISTINCTION AWARD FOR STAFF OF COLLEGIUM MEDICUM AND FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AT INTARG® 2025

The employees of Collegium Medicum and the Faculty of Science and Technology of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa were awarded twice during the 18. International Fair of Inventions and Innovations INTARG® 2025, which took place in Katowice (early June 2025). The research team received two prestigious awards for their innovative project:

"VR KidsCare: Virtual Reality Glasses for Children during Medical Procedures"

The awards granted for this project are:
- Gold Cup – Haller Pro Inventio Foundation Award
- Diamond Award – one of the highest distinctions at INTARG® 2025

The authors of the project are scientists from Collegium Medicum and the Faculty of Science and Technology of JDU:

The VR KidsCare project aims to reduce stress and anxiety in children during medical procedures, using virtual reality immersion as a form of modern emotional support. This solution responds to the real needs of paediatric patients and can be a valuable tool in the work of medical staff.

The project was presented to a wide international audience, including representatives of the world of science, industry and institutions evaluating inventions from around the world.

Exceptional commitment to the promotion of the project was also shown by medical students – Maria Żakowska and Michał Nowacki (third year), who have been representing the University with full professionalism at the stand of the Collegium Medicum for three days now, answering questions from the competition committee and visitors to the fair.

INTARG® is one of the most important innovative events in Europe, organised under the patronage of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), the Ministry of Development and Technology and the National Centre for Research and Development.
