ART ZONE initiated in hospital in Parkitka

On March 18, the space of the Provincial Specialist Hospital of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Częstochowa turned into art zone with the project "Ars Lorem -per artem adjuvat - ART ZONE"/"Art helps - therapy through art - ART ZONE" initiated by the University Centre for Culture/Art and Science of JDU and the Provincial Specialist Hospital of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Częstochowa. The introduction of artworks into hospital corridors that significantly change the perception and visualization of the facility's communication routes is a purposeful and innovative procedure. The influence of art and the social dimension of the project allows for building a new context in the area of perception and encounter with the image (graphic, painting, photographic, drawing).

The recipient – a patient, a hospital employee – can experience a different dimension by being with the image and in front of the painting in a place that is not a deliberate presence of art. As part of the project, exhibitions of students and/or academics of the Faculty of Art of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa will be held in the corridors of the hospital defined and prepared for presentation. The exhibitions will be temporary and variable.

participants of the exhibition: Jadwiga Janowska, Jakub Dziewit, Aleksandra Jakubczak, Mateusz Pawełczyk, Marta Śliwiak, Rafał Siderski, Barbara Czapor-Zaręba, Bartosz Frączek, Maria Hulist, Artur Wawrzkiewicz, Dorota Bujak, Witold Zaręba, Anna Tarnowska, Jakub Jakubowski.
