JDU Representatives at “Foreign Students in Poland” Conference

On 7-9 February 2024, the Vice-Rector for Research and International Relations Prof. Janusz Kapuśniak, together with the members of the Department for Research & International Relations, participated in the conference entitled "Foreign Students in Poland", organised by the Perspektywy Education Foundation as part of the Study in Poland campaign. The conference programme included sessions on the main challenges of internationalisation of higher education in Poland, internationalisation of science and European research programmes, Polish universities in alliances of European Universities and foreign students at Polish universities. The event was attended by over 350 participants, including representatives of Polish universities and heads or vice-heads of institutions and organisations responsible for internationalisation: the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, the Polish Academy of Sciences, CRASP, as well as NAWA, FRSE, IDEAS NCBR, OPI PIB, KRD, PSRP, IREG, IROs Forum, PRom, ESN. On Thursday (8 February), an event accompanying the conference took place at the Poznan University of Technology, during which the best foreign students in Poland (INTERSTUDENT 2024 Competition) and university employees active in the international environment and involved in the internationalisation of higher education and science (Environmental Awards "Stars of Internationalization 2024") were honoured. One of the nominees in the Rising Star category was an employee of the Department for Research & International Relations, senior specialist for foreign relations mgr Bartłomiej Kowalik.
