56. OPENING CEREMONY OF 2026/2027 ACADEMIC YEAR

Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa invites members of the academic community, friends and supporters of the University to the ceremonial 56th Opening Ceremony of the Academic Year 2026/2027.
The ceremony will take place on 5 October 2026 at 11:00 am at Auditorium Maximum, 4/8 Waszyngtona Street, Czestochowa.

Programme:
1 Procession and the Polish National Anthem,
2 Welcome address,
3 Address by Prof. Bogusław Przywora, holder of an honorary doctorate, Acting Rector of Jan Dlugosz University,
4 Matriculation ceremony for students and doctoral students,
5 Address by Jacek Będkowski, MA, Chair of the University Council,
6 Addresses by the Chairs of the University Student Council and the Doctoral Student Council of Jan Dlugosz University,
7 Inaugural lecture entitled “The university in the service of the humanisation of medicine”, delivered by Rev. Prof. Mirosław Kalinowski, PhD, DSc, Rector of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin,
8 Gaudeamus igitur.

The ceremony will be graced with a performance by the JDU Academic Choir, conducted by dr Marek Kudra.
