STUDENT ENTREPRENEURSHIP CENTER - ANOTHER STAGE OF COLOURS PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
On March 25, JDU students of took part in a visit to the Polish Parliament (Sejm of the Republic of Poland). Among the group of 36 students were representatives of the following fields: law, administration, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmacy, safety engineering, and medicine.
The visit, which included a lecture and a guided tour, was organised by the Student Entrepreneurship Centre of JDU in cooperation with the Interdisciplinary Research Centre of JDU. The trip was organised and funded as part of the implementation of tasks resulting from the COLOURS Project.
The Student Entrepreneurship Centre is a university-wide unit established as part of the COLOURS Project, whose main priority is to carry out activities supporting and developing active, interdisciplinary forms of student entrepreneurship.
As part of its activities, the Centre provides support (including financial support from the COLOURS budget) and coordinates the work of students belonging to student research groups who wish to actively develop their academic interests and passions in entrepreneurship, innovation, and commercialisation.
The Student Entrepreneurship Centre creates a space for the implementation of scientific, popular science, educational, and artistic projects of an interdisciplinary nature in the field of entrepreneurship and innovation, enabling JDU students to fully utilize their intellectual and academic potential.
Participation in the trip was an important element in developing students’ social and civic competences, allowing them to gain direct insight into the functioning of the highest legislative authorities in Poland.
