FAREWELL TO STAFF MEMBERS RETIRING FROM UNIVERSITY

A warm and moving meeting was held with the participation of Acting Rector of JDU, prof. Bogusław Przywora, and members of staff who retired at the turn of September and October 2026.

Those invited by prof. Przywora were prof. Hanna Kaczmarek (Faculty of Humanities), Andrzej Kaśkosz, MD (Dr W. Bieganski Collegium Medicum), and Tadeusz Kosela, MA (Faculty of Art). The meeting took place on 7 October 2026 and provided an opportunity to express gratitude for their many years of work, commitment and contribution to the University.

As a token of appreciation, prof. Bogusław Przywora presented the retirees with letters of congratulations. In the letters, he thanked them for their years of dedicated service and commitment to the University, as well as for their contribution to its development and to the life of the academic community.

The Rector also emphasised that retirement does not necessarily mean the end of one’s ties with the University. He expressed his sincere hope that the retirees would continue to maintain contact with and meet members of the JDU academic community.
