MSLIMITCO2 PROJECT PARTICIPANTS MEET AT JAN DLUGOSZ UNIVERSITY
On 28 August 2026, Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa hosted representatives of the institutions involved in the implementation of the Polish-Chinese project “Multi-scale Investigation of Chemical Looping Combustion of Biomass Pellets towards Negative CO₂ Emissions”. The project is being carried out at JDU under the leadership of prof. Jarosław Krzywański, Head of the Department of Advanced Computational Methods.
The project leader’s team, represented by the research group of prof. Tomasz Czakiert from Czestochowa University of Technology, also took part in the meeting. Among the Chinese partners, JDU welcomed the team of prof. Laihong Shen from Southeast University (SEU) and the team of prof. Jing Liu from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST).
The meeting focused on reviewing the second year of the project, planning the next stages of research, and discussing opportunities for preparing new project proposals. During their visit, the guests attended a presentation about Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa and visited the laboratories of the JDU Faculty of Science & Technology, as well as the laboratories of the Faculty of Infrastructure and Environment at Czestochowa University of Technology, where experimental work under the project is being carried out.
The meeting was funded from the budget of the MsLimitCO2 project, “Multi-scale Investigation of Chemical Looping Combustion of Biomass Pellets towards Negative CO₂ Emissions” (Agreement No. WPC3/2022/44/MSLimitCo2/2024), co-financed by the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of the People’s Republic of China under the 2022 Polish-Chinese cooperation programme.
