GRADUATES, REMEMBER - YOUR JOURNEY OF LEARNING NEVER ENDS

A total of 175 graduates from the Faculty of Law and Economics at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa received their diplomas during the Faculty's graduation ceremony, an event that has become a well-established tradition over the past three years. The occasion was filled with congratulations, flowers, words of appreciation and encouragement for the future. Alongside the satisfaction of achieving an important milestone came moments of emotion and even tears as graduates said farewell to their University.

Addressing the packed auditorium, Professor Bogusław Przywora, Acting Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, welcomed the graduates, their families, friends, members of staff and distinguished guests. In his speech, he highlighted the lasting value of higher education and the profound impact that university studies have on every young person. He also encouraged graduates to maintain their ties with the University.

"I sincerely hope you will look back fondly on our University and the years you spent here," said Professor Bogusław Przywora. "There are many ways to continue your personal and professional development while remaining connected to the academic community. You may choose to pursue postgraduate or doctoral studies, or become involved in initiatives and activities available to our alumni, including our alumni association. Congratulations to each and every one of you on earning your degree. I know that your success is the result of hard work, perseverance and many sacrifices. That makes this achievement all the more meaningful - for you and for your families - and I hope it strengthens your confidence and reinforces the belief that determination and ambition can turn aspirations into reality."

The Rector's words were beautifully illustrated by one particularly touching moment. One graduate accepted her diploma accompanied by her young son, who was dressed in a miniature academic gown and mortarboard matching his mother's. Together they received the diploma to warm applause from everyone gathered in the auditorium. It was a moving reminder that Jan Dlugosz University is a place for everyone who wishes to learn and grow. Celebrating its 55th anniversary in 2026, the University has become a place where the passion for learning is passed from one generation to the next.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law and Economics, prof. Ewelina Żelasko-Makowska also addressed the audience and extended her congratulations.

"Graduation ceremonies are among the most rewarding events of the academic year for a Dean, and I believe they are equally special for every member of our Faculty," she said. "For a moment, the everyday responsibilities - meetings, paperwork and administrative decisions - fade into the background. Our full attention is devoted to our graduates as we congratulate them on their achievements, knowing that, in some small way, we have shared in their success. These moments are truly priceless and bring immense satisfaction."
She congratulated the graduates on their accomplishments and thanked their families for the support they had provided throughout their academic journey.

The ceremony, held on 3 July 2026 in the Faculty's main auditorium, symbolically marked the culmination of several years of study, personal growth and academic achievement. It celebrated not only the knowledge and skills acquired by the graduates but also the friendships formed, international experiences gained through study visits and placements abroad, and the memories that will remain long after graduation. For many, university friendships become lifelong relationships that begin with shared lectures and continue through reunions, coffee meetings and future adventures.

This year, diplomas were awarded to 175 graduates across the Faculty's four degree programmes: 35 in Law, 73 in Administration, 35 in Economics, and 32 in Accounting and Taxation. The graduates represented Bachelor's, Master's and long-cycle Master's programmes, completed in both full-time and part-time modes of study.

The ceremony was not only an opportunity to present diplomas but also to celebrate the achievements of young people embarking on the next stage of their professional lives. A particularly inspiring part of the programme featured speeches by alumni representatives Bartłomiej Królak, Karolina Śpiewak, Zuzanna Mokras and Sebastian Świąć. Reflecting on their first days at the Faculty, they shared their personal and professional journeys, spoke about how their lives had evolved since graduation and described the careers they had built. They challenged the belief that "it can't be done" or "I'm not capable", encouraging this year's graduates to believe in themselves and approach the future with confidence, courage and determination. Their stories demonstrated that perseverance and self-belief lead not only to professional success but also to personal fulfilment.

During the ceremony, the University's highest student distinctions were presented to the Faculty's outstanding graduates. Awards included Primus in Facultate, Praemium Pro Scientia, and Praemium Pro Ars Athletica. Year representatives were also recognised for their responsibility, commitment and valuable contribution to the Faculty's academic community.

The ceremony concluded with one of its most memorable traditions - the symbolic moving of the tassel on the graduates' mortarboards. This gesture, marking the transition from student to graduate, has become an integral part of the Faculty's graduation ceremonies since they were first introduced two years ago. Once again, it brought together feelings of joy, pride and emotion, perfectly captured by the lyrics of the song played in the auditorium: "To już jest koniec, nie ma już nic…", performed by the Polish band Elektryczne Gitary.

The University and Faculty authorities extend their sincere thanks to all staff members and students who contributed to organising the event. Special appreciation was expressed to Dr Patrycja Sołtysiak and legal adviser Karolina Kwiatkowska for their outstanding coordination of the ceremony. Thanks were also extended to the Kla-sch Vocal Quartet of the Department of Music at the Jan Długosz University, conducted by Dr Przemysław Jeziorowski, Associate Professor at UJD, whose performance added a memorable musical highlight to the celebration.
