ACTING RECTOR PROF. BOGUSŁAW PRZYWORA PARTICIPATED IN KRASP MEETING IN RZESZOW

Acting Rector prof. Bogusław Przywora participated in the meetings of the Conference of Rectors of Academic Schools in Poland (KRASP), held on 8-9 June at the University of Rzeszow.

During the sessions, the representatives of the academic community from across the country discussed the most important challenges facing Polish higher education and science. The main topics included issues related to a new model for the evaluation of scientific activity, planned changes in the science and higher education sector, international cooperation, and directions for the development of universities in Poland.

The participants also debated the role of the academic community in public discourse, cybersecurity issues, the level of funding for the science and higher education sector, and cooperation between universities and the socio-economic environment.

Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education, dr Karolina Zioło-Pużuk, took part in the proceedings and informed the participants about the proposed amendments to the Higher Education Act.

A special highlight of the event was the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the University of Rzeszow, the host of this year’s KRASP meeting.
