AI IN ADMINISTRATION & CLIMATE

On Friday, February 27, the Aula Humanitatis at Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa hosted the first conference organised within a grant awarded by the Foundation for Polish-German Cooperation. The conference focused on the application of artificial intelligence in public administration and efforts to address climate change in cities in Poland and Germany.

This unique event brought together representatives of leading academic institutions in Poland, members of the German scientific community, as well as representatives of public administration from both countries.

The conference, which concluded the first stage of the project, aimed to summarise the results of research conducted by scholars from Poland and Germany.

The topics discussed included issues related to public administration, particularly municipal administration, construction law, data use and data mining in local government, prevention of sexual offences, digitalisation, climate policy, as well as energy and heating sector transformation.

The event also provided an opportunity for project participants to exchange experiences and formulate future recommendations for environmentally and socially responsible solutions in the fields of public administration and climate policy.

The importance of the event and the relevance of the issues discussed are reflected in the involvement of numerous public institutions that granted the project their honorary patronage, including: the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Berlin, the Commissioner for Human Rights, the Bavarian State Ministry for Digital Affairs, the Mayor of the Regensburg, the Mayor of Czestochowa, the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, and the Head of Czestochowa County.

The conference was honored by the presence of representatives of local government administration.

The official opening of the event was conducted by prof. Wojciech Brzozowski, Professor at the University of Warsaw and Deputy Commissioner for Human Rights, dr Ryszard Stefaniak, Deputy Mayor of Czestochowa, together with prof. Bogusław Przywora, Acting Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, as well as the remaining organisers.
