JUBILEE EXHIBITION “55 YEARS IN 55 STEPS” ARRIVES IN RADOMSKO

The jubilee exhibition entitled “55 Years in 55 Steps” has this time arrived at the University Clinical Hospital in Radomsko, an institution closely associated with our University. We would like to thank our hosts for the warm and welcoming reception already shown during the installation of the exhibition. We hope it will attract the interest of patients, their families, hospital staff, and all visitors.

According to our information, many of our employees, as well as students and alumni, come from Radomsko and the surrounding area. We also see significant potential in the region to encourage new candidates to begin their studies at our University at the start of the 2026/2027 academic year. Therefore, the exhibition is intended not only to recall the University’s past, but also to promote the University today.

Let us recall that the theme of the exhibition fully corresponds with the anniversary being celebrated this year. On 30 July 2026, Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa will celebrate the 55th anniversary of its establishment.

The exhibition is designed as a journey through time: from the establishment of the Teacher Training College in Czestochowa - in 1971, through subsequent changes in the University’s name the Higher School of Pedagogy in Czestochowa to the creation of the present-day Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa. This journey through the decades concludes at the end of 2025.

The exhibition consists of 18 display boards presenting archival (as well as contemporary) documents and photographs, each accompanied by captions to guide visitors through the display. It made its debut during the 55th Inauguration of the Academic Year, celebrated by the JDU community at the Czestochowa Philharmonic Hall, where staff members and invited guests had the opportunity to view it in the foyer. Subsequently, throughout the autumn, it was displayed in the Rector’s Hall of JDU at 4/8 Waszyngtona. It is worth noting that the exhibition is, in a sense, a continuation of a project created and presented during the University’s 40th anniversary celebrations in 2011.

The creators of the exhibition - staff of the JDU Communication and Marketing Department - decided that it should travel around the Czestochowa region (and beyond), spreading information about the jubilee. The plan is for it to reach places from which our employees, students, alumni, and potential candidates originate. To date, the exhibition has also been presented in Klobuck and Lubliniec.
