MACIEJ ZAGÓRSKI'S NEW CD
The premiere of a CD with Paweł Łukaszewski's Nocturnes, recorded by pianist Maciej Zagórski (Department of Music of JDU), is scheduled for release on 8 August. Recorded in 2023 at the Częstochowa Philharmonic, the one-hour musical material was created thanks to the Research and Development Subsidy of the Department of Music of JDU and was accepted for publication by the Grand Piano Records, belonging to the global Naxos Music Group. This ensures the album's presence in most music bookstores and streaming services around the world.
The recording director is dr Wojciech Marzec from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, the author of the commentaries published with the disc - dr Anna Stachura-Bogusławska, the English lyrics were translated by Andrzej Wątroba, MA, and the artist's photos were taken by Piotr Dłubak, MA, an associate of the Faculty of Arts.
Great recognition is due to the management and employees of the Centre for Knowledge Transfer and Innovation in the Areas of Science and Art at JDU, whose dedication and commitment made it possible to overcome numerous formal requirements related to the release of the recording.
