NEW PERSPECTIVES FOR STUDENTS OF SOCIAL WORK – JDU ESTABLISHES COOPERATION WITH “NA RZECZ” FOUNDATION
On July 9, 2025, Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa signed a cooperation agreement with the "Na Rzecz” Foundation – a local partner working for the development of social and educational initiatives.
Thanks to this agreement, students of social work gain new opportunities to develop their professional competences through participation in practical activities that respond to the real needs of the local community.
The event of signing the agreement was attended by:
· dr hab. Bogusław Przywora, prof. UJD - acting Rector of Jan Dlugosz University in Czestochowa, Vice-Rector for Research
· dr hab. Daniel Kukla, prof. UJD - Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences
· dr Mariola Mirowska, prof. UJD - Head of the Department of Social Policy, Social Work and Tourism
· Zbigniew Maciej Matyszczak - President of the "Na Rzecz” Foundation
· dr Izabela Ziębacz – an academic of the Department of Social Policy, Social Work and Tourism, supervisor of the Social Work Students' Research Club
Thanks to this initiative, students will have the opportunity to gain professional experience in a real work environment, develop social, organisational and project competences, as well as co-create solutions that respond to local needs.
The social work programme at JDU is not only about studies – it is a response to the social needs of the modern world. The university actively supports students in acquiring practical skills, building a career path and shaping attitudes of social involvement.
